Parent Event: Creating Agreement in Special Education

On Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Schreiber Pediatrics, 625 Community Way, Lancaster, PA, NAA-PA will sponsor in connection with the Office for Dispute Resolution (ODR) the workshop:

Creating Agreement in Special Education: 

Conflict Resolution Skills for Parents and Educators
A practical approach to resolving special education disputes at the local level

This FREE workshop is an educational and training opportunity, designed to focus participants' understanding of, and skill development in, the areas of conflict, effective communication, collaboration and problem solving. The aim is for appropriate and successful outcomes at the local level. This training will include interactive activities with relevant special education scenarios designed to assist in building skills.

The format of the training is a hands-on style of instruction with many opportunities to reinforce the principles of the learning outcomes. We are inviting parents and school district special education administrators and principals together to support long-term conflict resolution success. So please contact them and invite them to attend as well!

Our order deadline is Wednesday , November 25, 2009.  Pick-up and delivery are scheduled for Thursday, December 4 and Friday, December 5 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
